Surgery
I decided today to go to Surgery and do an oncall, since I didn't have much work to do. Didn't get to see any cases, and there were no cases for surgery, but it felt good to be there again. Just like the old days. At least it's a start. I'll be reading more, discussing more with the doc, and hopefully attending a few surgeries. For some reason I feel like I fit in there really well.

i just had a dija-vu moment! once i read ur post i remembered my dream from last night, i dreamt i was in surgery. laa not being operated on, but the doc performing surgery!! and let me tell u i dont cook cause i cant stand the rawness of uncooked meat/fish/chicken. nor can i stand blood. i get shiwa weak in the knees at the sight of blood.
HOW do u do it? seriously?
What kind of an operation were you perfomring wicked?
How I do it? Well, when I first started my rotation in surgery last year, I hated it, I never saw myself to fit in there, but then I started to enjoy it. I like working with my hands, and there are a lot of skills that you learn in surgery, I just started getting attached to it, and I dont have a problem with seeing blood. There are surgeries which are still too much for me to handle, but with time, I'm sure it'll no longer be too much, I hope!
